Virtualization Challenges: Reflection following the Results of the Project

The author took part in work of a group of experts SUNY Research Foundation in 2008-2010 conducted auditing of educational activity in one of new-created universities for the humanities in a former Republic of the USSR. This university created by a group of leading scientists and public figures could attract the best teachers, talented students and became one of leading universities in the country. To the middle of 2000ies we could find problems in university’s functioning related to difficulties of mastering of forms and methods of work in a virtual learning environment. An international expert group conducted auding and prepared recommendations in implementation of new information and communication technologies and influenced on practical implementation of the given recommendations. In particular one of the recommendations was adevelopment of a series of courses for training and retraining of administrative and teaching staff. Monitoring, conclusions, and ideas arising during the process of implementation of the project can be used in modernization of higher education in Russia.

Internet is developed quickly. Great attention is paid to wireless data transfer networks related to development of mobile systems. Wireless networks are one of the most popular methods of communications distributing in the world. Mobile Internet is provided through a stack of Wireless Access Protocol. Authors propose modification of a transport level for Wireless Transaction Protocol – WTP), WAP and a technology of simulation, analysis of a developed WTP in NS2 environment. Work includes new ideas of development and improvement of WAP, as one of important technologies. Authors use network simulation NS2, which gives an ability to build network proptocols and simulation of their functioning.

The research is conducted on the example of a model according to the really used device [8, с.25] by computer-based technologies.
