Overview of E-learning Tools and Their Development Prospects

Аннотация / Annotation:
The article is devoted to a brief overview of the tools for e-learning, from educational content management systems to personal learning environments. A comparative review of domestic and foreign LMS is given. There have been described the basic characteristics and differences of learning management systems (LMS) and learning content management systems (LCMS). It is shown that the introduction of e-learning is not only innovative educational technologies, but also conditions for the socialization of different categories of students, regardless of their location, state of health, mobility.

The article is devoted to a brief overview of the tools for e-learning, from educational content management systems to personal learning environments. A comparative review of domestic and foreign LMS is given. There have been described the basic characteristics and differences of learning management systems (LMS) and learning content management systems (LCMS). It is shown that the introduction of e-learning is not only innovative educational technologies, but also conditions for the socialization of different categories of students, regardless of their location, state of health, mobility.

The Recognition Survey of Internet Site’s Map

This paper is concerned with the classification problem applying to the analysis of an Internet site’s map. It looks at basic practical ways dealing with tasks such as extracting, clustering and classification data related problems. It is shown that site’s inner links can be easily downloaded using simple recursive algorithm. Much attention is given to methods of clustering links like syntax analysis, frequency analysis and basic hierarchy clustering algorithm. There is some useful information about further graph analysis using DOT language for storing results. The article is a great help to the Web-programming, information retrieval and data mining related researchers.
