Particular attention ispaid to competencies, the transition from general cultural to universal competencies as the results of the graduates` training. The authors define the features of universal competences and describe possible ways of their formation in foreign language classes with future economists.

The article shows the relationship between the industrial revolution “Industry 4.0” and the new system “Education 4.0”. The reasons are indicated according to which there is a need to rebuild existing educational programs along with each new industrial revolution. The current trends in the creation of the workforce, the requirements for knowledge of computer science and obtaining digital literacy are highlighted. The advantages that will be provided by the introduction of the Education 4.0 system are identified. The skills, the development of which must be provided in the curricula for a successful transition to “Education 4.0”, have been clarified.

The article is an exploratory study to analyze the perceived value of Russian MBA programs by employers. The methodology of the paper is based on a brand attitude assessment model through cognitive, affective and conative components. The results of this study show a mixed picture of how companies perceive Russian MBA programs. They serve as a basis for further research of the factors influencing the formation of values and expectations of MBA graduates for employers.
