The following alternative directions in the economics of education are analyzed: modern institutionalism, new Austrian school, radical political economy, post-Keynesianism, traditionalist economics, economic economics, feminist economic theory. The idea that heterodox economic theory poses such problems that cannot find an adequate solution within the framework of economics is substantiated. Therefore, there is an urgent need to create a new economic theory that would synthesize orthodox and unorthodox doctrines.

Evaluation of digital skills of higher education teachers

The article examines the problems of the formation of the reputation of Russian universities in the international area in the context of geopolitical changes. As a result of the analysis of scientific publications and expert interviewers it was revealed that the main components needed to work on in the process of university reputation’s formation are the comparative analysis of cultural and social values of different countries, the level of development of the national higher education system and the country’s image in international arena.
