Sustainability factors of the economic system of higher education of the Russian Federation

Аннотация / Annotation:
The article presented by the authors analyzes the existing approaches to the stability of economic systems, the author’s definition of the concept “Economic system of higher education of the Russian Federation” is proposed. In the article, the authors consider the sustainability factors of the economic system of higher education in Russia, highlighting three levels: macro, meso; internal. In addition, the authors note exogenous shock effects as factors affecting the stability of the higher education system.

A comparative analysis of their genesis and key characteristics proves they represent fundamentally different social practices and management models. The study systematizes the criteria for their differentiation and identifies factors leading to their conceptual conflation. Its practical significance lies in providing a methodological toolkit for analyzing the impact of educationally motivated flows on place branding.
