The article discusses the economic aspects of the digital transformation of education systems. The article discusses change management projects at a Moscow university. A comparative analysis of chaotic, semi-systemic and systemic approaches is carried out. It is shown that a systematic approach ensured compliance with deadlines, budget savings and low staff turnover, while a chaotic approach led to cost overruns and loss of employees. Recommendations for the implementation of systemic changes in educational institutions are proposed.
