Investing in the digital transformation of education: economic efficiency and evaluation models

The article discusses the economic aspects of the digital transformation of education systems. The author’s methodology for evaluating the effectiveness of investments in the digital infrastructure of universities and schools based on the cost–benefit – social effects model is proposed. The key barriers to the introduction of digital technologies from the perspective of limited budgetary resources have been identified. The necessity of moving from a cost-based approach to managing digitalization to an approach focused on human capital and long-term returns is substantiated.

Systematic approach to change management in an educational organization: from chaotic implementation to economic efficiency

The article discusses change management projects at a Moscow university. A comparative analysis of chaotic, semi-systemic and systemic approaches is carried out. It is shown that a systematic approach ensured compliance with deadlines, budget savings and low staff turnover, while a chaotic approach led to cost overruns and loss of employees. Recommendations for the implementation of systemic changes in educational institutions are proposed.
