The main indicators characterizing the state of human capital in Russia are considered and analyzed. Emphasis is placed on assessing the availability of free higher education; the attractiveness of a career in science and higher education for young scientists; providing support for scientific projects on the priorities of scientific and technological development; state of the health care system. Problems related to the development of education and healthcare have been identified.

The article is about the types of academic reputation in higher education, external manifestations and actors of the reputational mechanism. The purpose of the article is an attempt to understand the reputation as a category affecting the outcome of economic activity and the commercialization of the results of the university. The types of reputation in higher education are identified, the parameters and actors of the reputational mechanism are analyzed and proposed. The reputation was presented as a method of gentle coercion to decent behavior.

The article defines the prerequisites for the preparation of future specialists for transprofessionalism, identifies and analyzes the stages of modern evolutionary transformation of professionalization.

The authors present the examples of various types of projects, in the development and solution of which students are involved during their professional training at the university.

The constructed indicator “Proportion of unemployed in the output” of vocational organizations reflects the orientation resources of regional systems of vocational education to the needs of economy. Based on statistical modeling, an assessment was made of the impact of various forms of organization and use of resources on the success of employment of vocational graduates was carried out. Only a few significant factors influencing the employment of trained specialists are identified.
