Educational and professional standards: together or apart?

This paper considers the problem of updating the educational standards of the higher school and educational programs based on professional standards. It was emphasized that the use of professional standards as the objective function, while updating the GEF may have a negative impact on the quality of education. But at the same time, the requirements of professional standards are important and necessary in the development of educational programs applied orientation. Addresses the effects of the reorientation of the tasks of higher education only on economic needs.

The future job representation in the student’s mind: associative experiment

The paper discusses the free associative experiment with two groups of students – of the first grade and of the fourth and fifth grade aiming at the means of representation of the future job image in the consciousness. The authors justify the method of thematic grouping of reactions. The comparison of such groups reveals not only quantitative but also qualitative features of the future job representation. The conclusion is made that this representation on the senior student’s mind are less stereotypical and less optimistic than the same representation in the first grade students mind. Also the emotional reactions are more frequent and expressive in the senior students.

This article describes an innovative technique that allows the teacherto engage in the educational process all students in the class at the same time and to maximize the effectiveness of this process.

The empirical research, which was attended by educators involved in experimental work, demonstrated that such values as Stimulation, Achievement, Power – Resources positively correlated with the level of innovation in the work of educators. The value Self-direction of activities is negatively correlated with the perception of new information by educators. The set of values related to Self-overcoming as well as the value of Personal security, Universalism – concern for others negatively correlated with the level of innovation in the educators teams. The value Universalism-tolerance is positively correlated with the democratic style of pedagogical communication, but negatively with the level of innovation in the team.

The article discusses the issue of improving the content and methodological model of professional psychological selection of cadets in educational institutions of the Ministry of internal Affairs. The article discusses the experience and the results of the study, during which revealed significant differences of psychological portraits of effective and ineffective students, Polo-playing and personal and professional specifics that must be considered when selecting a University. It proves the necessity of development and application of models for assessing personal and professional suitability and selection of cadets in line with these models, the need for the research work of the increase of the experimental sample, constant refinement and improvement of the system of selection of cadets and to check its effectiveness.
