In the article the experience of the department of Social Work and Social Safety of the M.V. Lomonosov Northern (Arctic) Federal University (NArFU) in organizing practical scientific conferences is analyzed. The role and importance of research work in formation of professional and research competencies of graduates are considered in the article. The areas of bachelors’ professionalization through their inclusion into research work are set out.

Shortcomings of use of average estimates of knowledge of trainees are shown in article. For the solution of this problem it is offered to use vector estimates. The question of estimation of knowledge of many criteria is considered. The possibility of use of the generalized characteristics of quality of training is shown: costs, profitability, efficiency and risk of a portfolio of estimated points.
