This article discusses the use of the NEFU Language Test electronic test simulator, which was developed as a means of assessing the formation of foreign language communicative competence of university students. The pedagogical experience of practical application of the electronic test simulator was studied. The developed test simulator has shown its effectiveness not only in increasing the level of formation of foreign language communicative competence, but also in terms of motivating students to study, independent cognitive activity.
