The article highlights the problems and difficulties to the implementation of an individual approach in the system of general education. Individualization of the content, method of work, teaching aids are considered as a necessary technological condition for the system of education of a general educational nature. The directions of the teacher’s activity in the implementation of an individual approach in mass education are determined.

The article is devoted to the analysis of the relationship between the methodological framework within which the educational process is designed in the system of additional professional education and the characteristics of the results achieved. The main approaches to designing the goals of preparing teachers for information and educational activities are revealed. The category of information picture of the world is introduced as the basis for describing the axiological level of training goals.

The article describes the methodology and technologies for identifying and supporting the development of self-knowledge, value systems of students. The conducted research made it possible to identify the following positions in the student team: indoctrinated personality – consciousness is formed from the outside; initiative personality – there is an interest in a certain area of culture; reflexive personality – belongs to a certain cultural tradition, is distinguished by the presence of its goals and means.

This article discusses the use of the NEFU Language Test electronic test simulator, which was developed as a means of assessing the formation of foreign language communicative competence of university students. The pedagogical experience of practical application of the electronic test simulator was studied. The developed test simulator has shown its effectiveness not only in increasing the level of formation of foreign language communicative competence, but also in terms of motivating students to study, independent cognitive activity.
