The article outlines the main content lines within the framework, which, it is necessary to form the special competence of the technology teacher. The comparison of the content of the general education of the subject domain is given. necessary skills and readiness for the professional work of a technology teacher; an approximate list of disciplines that provide training for the teacher in the university. A set of special competences of the technology teacher is proposed, the formation of which is necessary in the process of its preparation.

Аннотация / Annotation:
The article identifies shortcomings in the reform of the education system in Russia. On the basis of domestic and foreign scientists’ research results, we reveal the concept of the quality of education within the competence approach and the main trends in its evaluation. The basic tools and conditions for the effective implementation of evaluation tools are defined. We have also proposed analytical expressions for calculation of the coefficient of the level of preparation of students according to the results of the semester and the coefficient of the quality of education during the period of study.

It is proved that during the implementation of this technology it is advisable to use binary teaching tools. Special attention in the format of technology is paid to the use of pedagogical support.
