Posthumanism: An Educational Context

Posthumanism is a set of theoretical approaches in the social sciences aimed at revising the dominant view of the relationship between human subjectivity and non-human. In the context of pedagogy, posthumanism opens up new learning opportunities. The article discusses the advantages and risks of a posthumanistic approach to education. In particular, the use of digital technologies is accompanied by a wide range of ethical issues, and also requires rethinking the role of the teacher.

Individual educational trajectory as a means of improving students-athletes’ educational process quality

The individual educational trajectory is revealed as a means of improving a student-athlete’s, combining mental and physical loads, educational process quality. The principles of its design are revealed and the implementation technology is developed, based on the idea of forming the student’s personality readiness for continuous self-education and professional self-development under constantly changing conditions.

The article considers one of the directions of the anthropological approach to education, in which the content of education is the organization of the value self-determination of the subjects of educational activity in relation to the problems once solved by the authors of projects that have left their mark on the history and culture of mankind, and the teacher is the organizer of events of students’ awareness of their vocation, in particular, focused on obtaining a university pedagogical education.

The paper analyzes the current trends in the development of domestic higher education, their adequacy and effectiveness to modern realities. There is a high content in the current strategies of the ideological premises of liberalism of the 90s. The necessity of correcting the general course, goals and mechanisms of development of domestic higher education, taking into account the current agenda, is substantiated. Certain steps in this direction have been proposed. The role of differentiation of university development strategies is emphasized.

Motivation in Teaching a Foreign Language for Professional Purposes: Problems and Solutions

The article deals with the problems of professionally oriented education associated with an insufficient level of students’ motivation to study a foreign language. Based on the survey conducted, the ranking levels of motives for learning a foreign language are determined. These motives are presented in five categories: communicatory, communicative, professional, social, educational and cognitive, as well as motives of prestige. Pedagogical recommendations which can help students to master a foreign language more effectively have been proposed.

The study showed that without special support of cadets, their involvement in project activities is not effective enough.
