The article discusses the concept of practice as a process in which people change themselves by changing the circumstances of their lives and change the circumstances of their lives by changing themselves. The thesis is substantiated that education refers to the type of practice in which the self-change is in the foreground. And that self-changing mediate changes in the circumstances of one’s life. Such practices are constituted by different forms of communication and meaning-making processes, by which the Subject is “introduced into the game” and the production of agency is carried out. The structure of practice and types of educational processes in which it is implemented are considered. In conclusion, the conditions of professional agency production in education are considered as a teacher’s mediation in the care of students about themselves as a subject (The Self).

With the global integration of cultures, there is a need to address intercultural communication. Foreign-language education is designed to serve the interaction of countries in the spirit of dialogue of cultures, to ensure the socio-cultural development of a person who is ready to live and cooperate in a single globalizing world. Successful, effective intercultural contact is impossible without knowledge of the national and cultural characteristics of the language. The use of small forms of folklore in the educational process, in particular proverbs, contributes to the involvement of students in the dialogue of cultures.

The article is devoted to identifying typical mistakes of a teacher-psychologist in solving causal diagnostic mistakes. The study uses a method of modeling real cases from the consultative diagnostic practice of a teacher-psychologist using an automated computer system. Empirical studies have found two types of common mistakes. They are subdivided according to the stages of the diagnostic process and the components of scientific diagnosis.
