Issues of development of professional competence of recruits of military universities of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia, that are important issues for implementing 3G state educational standards, are investigated in the article. An analysis of ratio between concepts ‘quality of a specialist’s training’ and ‘specialist’s competence’ is conducted.

There is no a unified interpretation of basic terms in a field of pedagogic theory and practice of distance education. It is followed by multiple senses for one concept and contradictions in perception of infromation by participants of an educational process. Taking into account this fact the author tries to analyze approaches to terminology and to show a sense of a concept ‘distance education’ and ‘distance training’.

Investigating media virtual world is based on knowledge and skills of analyzing media texts of variuous levels of complexity. Cinematographic heritage of French writer and director Alen Robbe-Grillet (1922-2008) provides productive abilities for us in a field of analyzing works of elite media culture and can be built in a spectre of media educational tasks of high school (especially in training of future cultural scientists, art historians, sociologists, philologists, psychologists, teachers, etc.). Main approaches to an analysis of media texts of A.Robbe-Grillet within the context of media education are represented in the article.
