The paper substantiates the necessity of considering the realization of the foreign language position training technology in educating students of the Technical university. The author explains the essence of the position training technology and describes in details its structural components: conceptual, content-related and procedural; interprets the significance of each component in the educational process. The author points out and considers the pedagogical environment that contributes to using the foreign language position training technology as an efficient educating resource. The pedagogical environment includes involving the students into the independent work on using the ESP knowledge in the educational process; realization of the emotional intellectual methods of stimulating cognitive activity; organization of the interactive communication.
