Methodical aspects of multimodal linguistic corpus application for discourse competence development

The article considers methodological potential of multimodal linguistic corpora for discourse competence development for students majoring in linguistics. The authors analyze contemporary approaches to the discourse competence content, identify its textual and communicative aspects, and provide examples of corpus-based tasks for discourse skills formation in accordance with these key aspects.

The article examines the current state of fire training in educational institutions of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia. Special attention is paid to the introduction of modern training complexes, including laser shooting ranges and virtual reality systems, which can significantly increase the amount of training in conditions of limited resources. A methodology is proposed for gradually increasing the complexity of training and strengthening interdisciplinary links with tactical disciplines.

The article reveals a set of recommendations for the systematization of the lexical and grammatical material of the Spanish language, and suggests visual techniques for intensifying its assimilation by students. The method of pedagogical experiment used in the study made it possible to establish that the systematization of exceptions requiring memorization and the use of visual images to illustrate lexical and grammatical topics can improve students’ academic performance.
