A nature and contents of Russian family education are considered in the article. Advantages and disadvantages of a family form of education are represented. Also, capabilities of solution of a series of issues of modern Russian education from a position of family education are shown. Basic problems and challenges of development of family education in Russia are represented. Great attention is paid to specifics of interaction between a family and traditional school systems of education.

A problem of improvement of education of future teachers through interaction with families and strengthening of practical implementation of a professionally oriented technology is considered in the article.
