A comprehensive analysis of the structure and dynamics of the student body of higher education in Russia and abroad is presented. The key trends in the distribution of students by education levels, fields of activity and forms of study (full-time, part-time) are considered. Special attention is paid to new professions at the intersection of law, economics and management with digital technologies. The author substantiates the need to increase the student body in the context of technological transformation.

Forms of organizing self-reflection are examined and criteria for assessing levels of self-reflection are elaborated in the article. An innovative component of the research is a developed basis for self-diagnosing and self-correcting teacher’s behavior that will further be used to build an individual algorithmic self-development path for university teachers. This will help avoid negative psychic formations that prevent achieving successful and efficient self-actualization.

This work evaluates the objectivity of remote computer testing of students in the LMS Moodle system in comparison with testing in the classroom and substantiates the effectiveness of using matching-type tasks in tests, which are more difficult than multiple-choice tasks and more objectively assess students’ knowledge from the point of view of classical test theory.
