Principles of argumentation in teaching foreign language scientific public speech to non-philology students

Аннотация / Annotation:
The article reveals the methodological principles of teaching non-philological students foreign scientific public speech. Methodological principles reflecting the needs of students to generate foreign scientific public messages are identified and characterized. It is shown that all the principles of argumentation are interrelated and represent a single system that provides non-philology students with the opportunity to speak publicly about their scientific work in a foreign language.

The article is devoted to stereotypes, automated complexes of thinking and behavior of an individual. The purpose of the article is to analyze the influence of stereotypes on the results of communicative activity, as well as the positive role of developing de-stereotyping skills in order to achieve the necessary communicative effect. The scientific novelty of the research lies in the proposed method of step-by-step formation of the skill of stereotyping, the description of the technique of stereotype filtering.

The article presents the author’s model for biotechnology students was developed and tested. It comprises four components: professionally contextualised project design, a master’s student-moderator institute, iterative AI reflection, and adaptive progress monitoring. A pedagogical experiment was conducted at SPbPU in 2023–2024. Intrinsic motivation grew by 43%, perceived competence by 26%, self-regulation by 19%, and academic performance by 13.2%.

The relevance of the article is connected with the need to preserve and strengthen the interest of modern schoolchildren in the Russian language and culture. A tested version of the work on the film “The Ballad of a Soldier” (dir. G. Chukhrai) is proposed. It has been established that integrated lessons using methods of axiological analysis contribute to the development of students’ conscious perception of the moral guidelines of the past and present, the formation of a value-based attitude towards the Russian language and national culture.
