Annotation: In this article the problems of terminological uncertainty of the key concepts of the theory of competence-based approach in educating are discussed. The analysis of the current situation in educational theory in the sense of professional competence is carried out. The difference between the concepts competence and competency is discussed. There are the ways of increasing the efficiency of the educational process, in the way which some methods and approaches of innovative teaching are served.

Estimation the didactic complexity of the physical laws studied at school

Annotation. The technique of an assessment of didactic complexity of physical laws (postulates, the principles) on the relations scale is considered. It is supposed that results of an expert estimation of complexity are proportional to a linear combination of the text complexity, the possibility of observation of the corresponding phenomenon in everyday life and the complexity of formulas. For an estimation of the text complexity the computer program considering complexity of the entering terms is used. The assessment of complexity of 23 statements (laws) is made.

The article analyzes modern trends in academic English and the academic requirements for graduates and last-year students of Russian universities. This reveals the difference in the content of language classes in higher educational institutions and the style of academic texts which is required for reading and writing scientific articles. Proposed innovative solution to this problem is the development of small cross-disciplinary course modules which integrate subject and language skills. The solution is illustrated by the course module developed for BA students.

The worldwide trends of educational development related to internationalization of life of different peoples, resolution of global problems of humanity, transition to postindustrial society present special requirements for language competences and intercultural competences of a personality. Today, study of several languages is transforming from the target of training into a means of personality development, comprehension of the world of special knowledge, and multicultural education. Personal development of such qualities and abilities which would allow him/ her to carry out professional and social activity in rapidly changing socio-cultural conditions is its key task. Language learning is also ever more regarded as not only a means of communication, but, as the tool of cognitive and professional activity. Pedagogical education as well as high level of development of foreign language communication competence of a teacher, become a necessary guarantee of successful pedagogical activity in the field of discipline oriented bi-lingual training that, in turn, raises special requirements for the process of pedagogical education.

The study of pedagogical diagnostics was carried out at the Department of Human Anatomy of the Ural State Medical University of 30 academic groups of the 2 course, which included 403 students. It was shown that the exam results were expected, as they had high positive correlation with the rating levels of educational achievements for three semesters. The results make it necessary to discuss and develop a common position on universal pedagogical diagnostics in the university.

The article deals with the problem of following imperatives to the development of design culture in the space of didactic activities. Reveals the overall meaning of the design of modern teaching practice mode, shows a specific design of didactic projects based on the classification of the characteristics and requirements for their development and implementation. The author’s understanding of the relevance of compliance by teachers of existing imperatives to develop and implement the content of the individual project procedures cultural environment training of students. A design culture is consistent with the overall approaches to achieve tactical and strategic objectives to improve the training actions of the teacher. The design is characterized as one of special cultural, competence-oriented processes in teaching practice, designed to broadcast productive and efficient mechanism, implemented only in co-creative artistic activities of teachers and students.
