The ability to diagnosis as a professional competence

The article discusses: the professional diagnostic competence in the framework of the competence approach in education; lack of elaboration of diagnostic competences in the standards of higher education; relationship of thinking and understanding to the diagnosis. It is concluded that the effective implementation of the competence approach is impossible without special studies aimed at the study of the content, possibilities and methods of the professional competence formation.

Psychological support of professional orientation of adolescents with lake degree of mental retardation

Аннотация / Annotation:
Analyzed professional preferences and predispositions of senior school-aged children with mental retardation. As indicators are assessed by a professional orientation, professional competence, professionally important personal qualities. Presents a structural model of psychological support of professional orientation of adolescents with lake degree of mental retardation. Conducted quantitative and qualitative analysis of empirical results. It is shown that seniors with mental retardation of mild degree do not have a pronounced professional disposition. Professional orientation of this category of children generated is not enough.

In this work the author adheres to the assumption that the tools of detection of hidden information, in particular, polygraph devices are able to provide psychological security of the educational environment of a higher educational institution. The polygraph is viewed as a method in the system of professional psychological selection of applicants to higher educational institutions students. The material contains the results of a practice-oriented psycho-physiological studies using polygraph devices. Given an idea of the possibilities of this method in the framework of prevention of psychological risks and threats of the educational environment of a higher educational institution.

The article deals with the problems of brain potentials realization and representation of the latter in various types of cultures and individual ethnocultures. Meeting the requirements of fundamental and integral research the analysis of the problem leads to the conclusions of correlation of right or left brains to various cultures. Low-context vs. high-context cultures, individualistic vs. collectivistic ones, contact vs. distancised ones, feminine – masculine, polychromic vs. monochromic and other culture types find their connection with the brain hemispheres activities, correlating with the right or left brain. Illustration of the given statements is accordingly supported with argumentation, whereas research itself builds foundation and reveals possibilities for future fundamental studies within the field.
