“Digital dementia”: the payment for rapid digitalization of the society

The article focuses on the content and causes of the psychological phenomenon called “digital dementia”, which appeared due to the aggressive impact the consequences of digitalization have on an immature personality. It also discusses the psychological mechanisms that hinder the development of students’ thinking abilities – those of them who are completely immersed in digital environments replacing the real physical world, as well as the ways for leveling “digital dementia”.

Features of self-assessment of primary school students in the context of interpersonal interaction with significant adults and peers

The article presents the results of empirical studies of self younger students who are in the process of interaction with a teacher and a mother as the most significant adults in this age, and in the process of communication with relevant peers. It is shown that the teacher’s assessments are correlated with the real I-esteem, and evaluation of the mother – self-esteem is the perfect I. The analysis of the relationship between the type of ratio of self-esteem and the expected rating from a close friend with the status position of the child in the class showed that only a harmonious type of ratio provides the child with a high status position in the peer group.
