Value-semantic component of university students’ readiness for parenthood: current state and research prospects

The article examines the role of value-semantic orientations in the formation of psychological readiness for parenthood among university students. Modern studies devoted to values ​​and meanings, various approaches to understanding and defining these categories are analyzed. It is shown that the value-semantic sphere is a key factor determining the motivation, responsibility and emotional maturity of future parents. The significance of the value-semantic sphere of the personality of young people in the process of forming psychological readiness for parenthood is noted.

The neurobiological and cognitive mechanisms of knowledge acquisition and internalization are described, and the importance of a multimodal approach to learning is emphasized. A four-stage model of educational transformation (perception, integration, skill development, qualification practice) is considered from the point of view of approaches from various sciences: neuroscience, cognitive psychology and pedagogy. The necessity of integrating the data of neurobiology and cognitive psychology into the educational process is substantiated.

A reliable relationship has been established between the cognitive style of «field dependence/field independence» and the subscales of affective empathy – proximal and peripheral sensitivity. Based on the results of the study, recommendations have been compiled for educational organizations to develop teachers' empathic abilities.

Dishonesty refers to the use of unethical practices related to academic activities. This article presents the results of an empirical study on the attitudes toward academic dishonesty among psychology students and students of pedagogical specialties. The findings indicate that future educators are more lenient toward instances of academic dishonesty compared to future psychologists. Clearly, such an attitude among future educators requires serious correction.
