The article covers a problem of investigation of a self-concept as a central factor in a structure of self-consciousness of a personality. A self-concept is considered together with cognitive, affective and regulative components. A review of the most famous diagnostic and research methods is represented. Authors consider limitations of a quantitative approach to investigation of a self-concept and give an explanation of qualitative parameters. Authors’ modification of the method ‘Stairs’ that enables to find specifics of self-concept of children in primary and secondary school, is described in the article. A system of qualitative parameters of self-concept illustrated with special cases is proposed. Materials for the article enable to improve diagnostics of self-concept of schoolchildren in a border of primary school age and a teenage.

Conditions, that are necessary for improving an ability of a student to speak correctly are described. Facts of decrease of a level of educational motivation of students of last grades in comparing with first-year students and changes in its factor structure are shown. Non-disjointness of educational and scientific motivation of first-year students and their relative separation on last grades of education is set.

Influence of system components of professional burning of a teacher (emotional deterioration, depersonalization, reduction of personal achievements) a dominating style of management and pedagogic communication (authoritarian, democratic, liberal (laissez-faire) or a mixed one) is considered. It is shown that psychological and emotional load related to professional activity of a teacher influences first of all on emotional deterioration and in a less degree of relation to oneself as a professional.
