Psychological nature of a process of decentration based on analysis of a research of foreign and Russian psychologists is considered in the article. Actuality of learning of a mechanism of decentration related to necessity of development of social and psychological competences of university students within the frameworks of a new state educational standard is set. The results of the researches of interpersonal communications of students are given, abilities of development of decentration in educational process at university are considered.

Actuality of the research of mastering behavior of a person during education at university, meeting crisis phase of growing-up, is represented. Importance of successive mastering of students with difficulties and building of live challenges for further personal development and solving of live tasks is set. A role of an image of ‘valuable alter’ as an orientir of self-identification of a young person and as a mean of mastering of difficult situations in this age is analyzed. The results of an experimenal research of an image of a valuable alter as a mean of mastering are given.
