Basic social trends of modern higher education in global society as an institute, which is oriented to growth and explication of intelligence potential of a human and society, are analyzed in the article. Basic ways and problems of quality assessment of education as psychological testing of knowledge and intelligence are set. Concepts of cognitive qualimeter and individual educational path are implemented. Psychological theories of intelligent potential and intelligent resources are determined as a basis of methodology of research of modern education and applied developments of a qualimeter system.

Motives of eduactional activity of pupils in secondary and high public schools

The results of research of educational motivation of schoolchildren in 6-11 grades in public school are represented. A model of internal/external educational motivation, on which various types of internal and external motives are based, is proposed. A dynamics of internal and external educational motives for children studied on 6th-11th grades and their connection with academic achievements (progress in studies) is considered; gender differences are analyzed. It is shown that the leading factor, which motivates children to learn, is a wish to have good marks, but this motivation is not directly correlated with progress in studies. Successful pupils have higher internal cognitive and achieving motivation.

It is shown that one of the most important resources of development of civil consciousness is civil identity as an element of personal consciousness. The analysis of dynamics of expression of civil ‘ego’ under pressure of social and economic conditions is conducted. It is shown that a place of civil categories in a general structure of identity is changed. The results of comparative subjective senses of the concept ‘civil identity’ by scientists from different countries are considered; a role of social and economic conditions in development of identity is analyzed.

Personal charecteristics of students having various types of sense-making

The results of longitude research of personal special features of students having various types of sense-making are represented. It is shown that students having static, spontaneous, and tendentious sense-making types have differences in levels of self-actualization and mental rigidity, and it is interpreted as differences in a degree of openness-closeness of a psychological system. The great attention is paid to sense-making as a process, which enables to find specifics of a sense in a new type of activity in actual life situations and professional identification.

Mental states as a system events and a base of developing hierarchical system are considered.
