The article substantiates the need for a flexible response of training and professional development of psychologists to the rapidly changing conditions of operational and official activities of the employees of the internal Affairs bodies. The use of situational approach in training contributes to the formation of psychologists professional competencies and the development of professional and important qualities of the individual, necessary to assist employees and ensure the effectiveness of activities in problematic situations.

The assumption that anxiety can be reduced or supported by certain categories of spending is checked. The article describes a research that draws on studying the characteristics of the emotional sphere in the structure of the personality of adolescents in a boarding school. The indicators of emotional properties of two types of test subjects are compared. One third of adolescents found frequent manifestations of negative emotions, whith adversely affects the development of their personality.
