Teaching Russian as a foreign language is not only teaching a new way of expressing thoughts, it is also a source of information about the national culture of the people – the bearer of the language being studied. The article reflects the author’s experience in teaching Russian as a foreign language at the Voronezh Institute of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia.
