Аннотация / Annotation:
The author’s concept of describing the forms of recognition of scientific contributions, scientific merits and the weight of a scientist has been developed. Additional (auxiliary) forms of recognition of scientific contribution, scientific merits and the weight of a scientist are proposed: mention, discussion, evaluation of a scientist in authoritative specialized historical and scientific publications, the number of successful students. The nature and ontology of the scientific contribution are also investigated, the existing scientific discussions concerning the parameters of the evaluation of the scientific contribution of the scientist are considered.

The analysis of foreign legislation providing for the possibility of obtaining consent for the sterilization of an incapacitated person in court on the example of the United States is presented. The reference legal regulation in the legislation of the states of Colorado, Connecticut and North Carolina is investigated. It is concluded that it is possible to state a very detailed legal regulation of the issues of obtaining consent to the sterilization of an incapacitated person in court, in relation to the legislation studied.
