Islamic Education in Russia – a Peculiar Model?

The article deals with the stages of Islamic education formation in Russia in the post-Soviet period (1992–2018), its structure and regulation, current problems of its development, as well as the circumstances of emergence and spread of the radical tendencies in social and political life. The authors state that the current efforts of the government are aimed at training domestic highly qualified theologians. This is associated with a number of complex problems, some of which were identified during a survey conducted by a group of MGIMO researchers.

Gamification as a way to motivate students in the learning process

The article is devoted to the discussion of the problems of motivation of students in the learning process. As a method of increasing motivation, the authors proposed gamification. The article presents the results of an experiment on learning in the form of a game. Based on these results, the authors come to the conclusion that gamification is an excellent way to motivate participants to action, achieve better results and increase interest in self-obtaining new information, self-education.
