In the article was considered MOOC (massive open online courses), and analyzed advantages and problems in developing and using online courses in teaching Russian as a foreign language. The special attention is given to the problems concerning different types of educational activities in MOOC, and to teachers activity. The article describes various types of online courses. The use of MOOK can be different: from the use of parts of separate elective courses to the full completion of the course.

The author of this article conducted a hermeneutic analysis of documentary films, TV programmes and Internet sites of the countries of Northern Europe on the subject of school and University which helped to identify the relevant issues covered in these media texts, goals and objectives of their creation. As a result of the study, the author concludes that most of the documentaries, TV programs and Internet sites of Denmark, Sweden, Norway and Finland are aimed at broadcasting the positive experience of the reforms in the field of education, as well as analysis of the problems and difficulties faced by the modern educational system of European countries, the search for ways to overcome them.
