The article discusses the role of social philosophy in the preparation of professional sociologist in the modern University. The emphasis is on the need to apply technologies knowledge, adequate to the securing of which can contribute to social philosophy. This will improve the quality of professional formation of future sociologists. The conclusion about the influence of socio-philosophical approach to the specificity of formation of the sociologist as technician.

The author emphasizes the need to adjust the education policy, including the level of university training. The author proves the role of University in the education system, the importance of the humanitarian sciences in the training of a modern engineer and formation of “the human component in man”.

Time as a factor of social differentiation of educational communities in megalopolis universities

In the context of various factors of social differentiation of university educational communities acquires a special role the time factor. The aim of the authors empirical research was the analysis the processes of transformation trajectories of the educational communities in high school under the influence of changes in their temporality. Applied to the methodological approach of the study allowed to use the time as a determining factor of the processes of educational communities in the transition from linearity to nonlinearity.

Sociological analysis: The specifications of formation of civil identity among the youngsters of Karachay-Cherkess Republic

The authors analyze the sociological research based on surveys and interviews of students from colleges and universities in Karachay-Cherkess Republic. The main issue of the research was civil and ethnic identity among the students. As a result a predominant value orientation, as well as the determinants of social and political activity among the students turned out to be the major consolidating factors.The authors also focus on the regional Program “The Youth of Karachay-Cherkess Republic in 2014-2018” regarding the formation of civil and ethnic identity among the students.

The article reports on the results of a survey distributed to four universities to Master’s graduates of Psycho-pedagogical and Pedagogical specialisations. The data analysis identified different features of demands and expectations of the Masters’ degree based on respondents’ teaching experience, position and age. This approach enabled the creation of a likely general profile of postgraduate students specialising in education.
