Pragmatic methodology in sociology of education: search for new approaches

The article analyzes the role of pragmatic methodology in modern education. New approaches in pragmatic methodology are considered: humanistic pragmatism and economics pragmatism. The idea that new approaches in pragmatic methodology can be effective for the sociology of education is substantiated.

Features of the development of higher education in the North of Russia

In the article the specific characteristics of the development of higher education in the northern regions of the country are considered. The peculiarities of the changes occurring in it are singled out, the possibilities of transforming the linear into the nonlinear model of higher education are being sought. The interpretation of some methodological problems of higher education and its theoretical grounds is given.
