Аннотация / Annotation:
The results of analysis of social waitings during sociological research, which express qualitative side of an educational process implemented in schools of Khanty-Mansiisk, are represented. Interpretation of regional data of students’ future waitings, educational and professional plans and guides is given. These results enable to develop proposals in improvement of an educational process in all regional schools and to improve quality of students’ education and training.

The majority of Russian medical students are ready to percept socially important values, but it doesn’t exclude new modifications of a pedagogic component in their translation. Sociological questionnaires of future doctors and pharmacists demonstrate a high level of development of motivation to study, including analysis of reasons influencing on choice a medicine as a profession by students. A modern teacher in a medical university implementing innovative educational programs shows new abilities to develop a human capital through conducting research tasks.

A Draft of the Federal Law ‘Education in the Russian Federation’ (dated December 1, 2010)

Аннотация / Annotation:
Publishing two key chapters of a draft of the Federal Law ‘Education in the Russian Federation’ related to higher education, the editorial board encourages representatives of a scientific society of sociologists in education, teachers, psychologists, and managers to take part in its discussion. The magazine practically participated in the discussion, when it published the article ‘Modern Approaches to Development of Legislative Fundamentals of Education’ (December, 2010) by V.A. Sadovnichiy, rector of Moscow State University, academician of the Russian Academy of Sciences, president of the Russian Union of Rectors. Great attention should be focused on two problems inadequately represented in a draft: 1) a status of a non-state subsystem of education, including higher education and 2) a potential of distance forms of education. Taking them into account we can achieve socially valuable goals of higher education; its availability for the masses and continuity, without which inclusion of the Russian Federation into kowledge society as a phase of social development, will be impossible.
