Аннотация / Annotation:
Priority directions in university development cover increasing of quality of life in a way of practice-oriented education and professional training. In some specialities employment of graduates was near to 100% in 2010-2011, and 70% of students took practice in all enterprises of the Republic from Magadan to Chukotskiy Region. It is planned to stimulate a motivated approach to a profession selection.

Based on the analysis of Canadian researchers there were examined the factors that determine access to higher education on a global scale. Calculations are performed to assess Russia’s place in the global ranking and identify the strengths and weaknesses of the Russian system of higher education. It was also shown the urgency of development in Russia of information-communication educational technology on the basis of the distributed mega-university

There were ‘Sorokinskie Readings’ on a topic ‘Global Social Turbulence and Russia’ in December 6–7, in Moscow State University; social turbulence is proved by events on the second decade of 21st. One of key factors effecting on this turbulence is a level of education as a factor of high quality of life. Related problems were discussed during a round table, the chair of which was a head of Organizational and Program Committees, Dean of the Faculty of Sociology of Moscow State University, President of the Russian Sociological Association V.I. Dobren’kov. The materials for the round table were prepared by I.E. Zadorozhnyuk, Doctor of Sociology (MUH), and V.V. Zyryanov, PhD in Economics (Moscow State University).

We consider the social role of education, the quality of which depends largely on the prospects for building human capital of the country. Substantiates the importance of harnessing the potential of private institutions for training in effective work. Describes approaches to teaching process, focused on innovative technologies in education. It is emphasized that effective methods of training the student’s readiness to form a personal identity, which is crucial in finding employment. As a result, it is concluded on the need to develop an innovative model of social management training.
