The problem of optimization of information interaction between producers and consumers is traditional for market relations. With the expansion of the market of educational services, this problem is becoming more and more topical for the education sector. The article, based on the research conducted by the Department of sociology of the Moscow state linguistic university, analyzes the information interests of various categories of consumers of educational services and offers recommendations for the use of various communication channels.

How to measure the level of professional self-determination schoolchildren?

The paper proposes a theoretical model for determining the level of professional self-determination of schoolchildren, based on the specification of plans for the construction of educational and professional career after graduation. On materials of sociological research conducted an empirical evaluation of the achieved level of professional self-determination of school students of the Samara region. Regression analysis of the obtained estimates of factors affecting the increase in the level of professional self-determination of graduates graduates of the 9th and 11th classes of secondary schools.

School differentiation in social context: rural cases in comparative analysis

This article is devoted to comparative analysis of two local educational systems in rural area. Regions’ geographical context and socioeconomic differentiation both between and within settlements lead to school differentiation on several levels. These mechanisms produce structural constraints for students’ educational success and aspirations. The differentiation process is reinforced through within-school tracking. Our study reveals the need for more complex analysis of multilevel social differentiation to study school quality.
