The article contains the results of the study of the style and methods of decision-making by the head of children’s preschool educational institution (for example, municipal budget preschool educational institution «kindergarten Matuszewski “Sparkle”») of municipal formation of «Kamensk city district». The research allowed to determine the leadership style and decision-making methods of the head of the Kindergarten’s staff, to conduct a comparative analysis of assessment and self-assessment of business and personal qualities of the head of the Kindergarten; to study the attitude of the staff towards their job satisfaction with various aspects of the work; to study the system of interpersonal relations and conflicts, their solutions, to gather ideas of employees to improve the organization of work in кindergarten and to formulate proposals for the solution of identified problems.

Аннотация / Annotation:
The article deals with the phenomenon of the social function of universities. Exploring the modern university in the context of the model of «three functions» (educational, scientific, social), the authors propose its own approach to quantify the level of development of social functions in the Russian educational institutions. The key indicators to measure the social function of universities use: development of innovative infrastructure of the university, which can be regarded as the «interface» for interaction with regional communities; university system of interaction with key regional stakeholders, such as the residents of the region, the business community; involvement of regional and local authorities in the financing of the educational organization. As an empirical basis the study uses the results of the annual monitoring of the effectiveness of Russian universities in 2015, conducted by the Ministry of Education and Science of the Russian Federation.

This paper investigates H. Marsh’s effect of social context on student’s mathematical self-concept, well-known as the «big-fish-little-pond» effect, employing Russian data. Author discovers that student’s self-concept is higher in a more successful social context. Studying in an advanced school enhances self-concept of low-achievers, confirming the «reflected glory» effect.
