A phenomenon of inequality in russian education

Inequality in access to education is a serious problem of Russian society, solution of which will give a chance for social mobility. Only those people, whose parents are able to pay for pre-university trainings and education in a well-known university can to get qualitative education in prestige university and prestige sphere. Dynamics of changes of functions of education started from social selection, that before 20th century played a role of stratification, to meritocratic ideology, which was a base for efforts of equal abilities in education and parentocratic model, when education of a child depends on wealth and wishes of his/her parents.
