Аннотация / Annotation:
Published 6th, 15th and 16th sections of the analythical report on the results of all-Russian research conducted by the Institute of Sociology in partnership with Ebert’s Foundation in April 2011 are focused on educational problems. A director of the research is a corresponding member of the Russian Academy of Sciences M.K. Gorshkov; L.G. Byzov, Yu.P. Lezhnina, V.V. Petukhov, I.O. Tyurina take part in the research. Answers are given by 1750 respondents older 18 years in 58 regions of Russia, who are representatives of 11 social groups of population. As a whole it is stated, that the respondents having higher education more often positively (46%) that negatively (36%) relate to reforms (ratio for people having secondary vocational education is 30% and 48%, and ratio for people having secondary education is 25% and 45%). It enables to see his/her own positions on labor market and estimate challenges of further development of Russia.

Challenges of sociological education generally depend on publicity, that is based on propaganda of sociological knowledge, value of its results, actualization of thematic researches, and interaction with state authorities and public (civil) organizations. Sociology helps to set ways of development of a civil society, and serves as a basis for a dialog between public structures, state power, and population; it is a real way to solve serious social problems.

Problems of formation of professional competence of the graduate of educational institution of a tourist profile are discussed. Professional competence is considered as the integrated characteristic formed on the basis of knowledge and experience in professional area which, in turn, are caused by features of socialisation of the subject of professional work. Various factors, having determining value in the course of formation of professionally significant qualities of the graduate are considered.
