Effectiveness of research and development activities of Russian universities within national and international comparisons

The article provides a study of Russian approaches applied for evaluation of the effectiveness of universities’ research and development activities and their usability for international comparisons. The approach based on the creation of the system for independent (non-government) monitoring of universities’ research and development quality is considered as capable of providing transparent results of research and development activities of Russian universities and their comparability with international ranking criteria. The results of the first stage of the monitoring participated by eight Russian universities bring out the availability of such researches and allow to identify the priorities for further development of R&D activities in Russian universities.

A Biographic Research of Views of Children in High School on a Family and Education

The results of an experimental research of children’s views on their future families are represented. The given analysis is based on qualitative data (personal histories and biographic essays of schoolchildren) and quantitative data such as materials of questionnaire. It is concluded that satisfaction in relations with parents influences on strategies of building of relations with future marriage partners and on motivation to study in the present and future.

Specifics of French approach to a research of school violation related to a role of sociological tradition and attention to structural aspects of an event, specifics of functioning of an educational system and organization of a school are shown. Evolution of concepts and their related theories used for naming and describing a problem of violation and specifics of a research position in studying these problems are represented.
